Claire and Pep decided to celebrate their love and tie the knot in Mykonos throwing an extraordinary party for their dearest ones. Guests from all over the world had the opportunity to explore the beauties of the island of the winds since the couple hosted a three days wedding party starting with a boat cruise where families and friends enjoyed the breath taking sunset on board and peaked on the wedding day! The wedding ceremony and reception took place at the amazing seaside restaurant of Hippie Fish.
The natural greenery on the wooden tables, the hanging lanterns and vases with dried flowers, the wedding arch decorated with olive branches and wildflowers, all created a rustic yet highly elegant and stylish wedding.
But as always the guests stole the show. The families and close friends participated to that love feast with their hearts and gave to this wedding a really emotional touch. One of the most touching moments was when one of the bridesmaids read an extract from Louis Bernieres book, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, and encouraged Claire and Pep to keep these words with them throughout their lives together.
Love is a temporary madness.
It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides.
And when it subsides you have to make a decision.
You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part.
Because this is what love is.
Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation or promises of eternal passion.
That is just being in love, which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident.
Love is when the roots grow toward each other underground and when all of the pretty blossoms have fallen from the branches you find that you are not two trees but one.
